Here is how Nenad (and Sonja) described their experience!

Sonja and I met in the summer of 2011 in Port Stanley. Sonja’s sister Shannon and her fiancé, my best friend Alex, introduced us. Sonja was living in Toronto at the time and travelled every weekend to London to visit me. One thing led to another before we knew we were engaged and Sonja was moving in!

We started planning our wedding in the fall of 2013. We used a travel agency based in Hamilton called All Seasons Travel (they specialize in destination weddings). When we learned that the company founder/CEO got married on a destination wedding, we knew we picked the right place. We sat with her and she was able to tell us everything we needed to know and what to expect out of each destination we had the option of experiencing.

We chose Mexico, Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe in Riviera Maya after falling in love with the resort and the gazebo they used for their weddings. The travel agent emailed Barcelo and shortly after that we got our wedding coordinator who made the wedding planning very easy and stress free. We had 34 guests in total and the wedding was amazing! They took care of decorations, flowers for the girls and boutonnieres for the guys. There was a hair salon and make up studio on site, we had an air conditioned reception hall and the food was amazing. The resort over all was fabulous. Anyone planning to do a wedding in Mexico, this is a place to keep in mind!

Choosing a photographer was a bit challenging. We were debating whether to hire one in Mexico or bring one with us, however, what they wanted to charge us for the day was expensive and we didn’t know what kind of end result we could expect.

The best decision we ever made was hiring Michelle and Captured Soul Photography for the job. Where to even begin to describe the service we got from Michelle? Michelle was everything for us. She was not only our wedding photographer but also our wedding coordinator and organizer. Most of all, she was a friend we could lean on if we ever needed questions answered. With her experience and the amount of destination weddings she shot, we knew we had the right person for the job. She fit in with our guests and we felt like she was one of our own while shooting our wedding. Days prior to the wedding Michelle had went to work by scouting out the resort and places where she would take us for our photos. I think the photos and her work speaks for itself! Over all experience was everything we expected and more.
