Here are the details of their spectacular wedding and their amazing love!

Adriano was born and raised in Montreal, and myself  in Lima, Peru. Our shared inclination for science brought us together in Toronto, where we met working in the same lab. It was love at second sight (since the first time we got introduced we were so busy we barely shared a passing hello). After a relatively short 2 years together, Adriano popped the question and then we were on our way to the altar. Choosing Montreal as the place for our wedding was a no-brainer since most of Adriano’s big Italian family resides there. Our parents were kind enough to organize and plan most of the wedding details, including ceremony, reception, catering, band, and décor. But Adriano and I were left responsible for our own attire, first dance, and photographer. I had Michelle’s information in my secret “Wedding” folder, as years ago I had seen her work in one of my co-worker’s engagement photo session. After falling in love with her photography style, I stashed away her website and some photos, thinking one day…

The planning of our wedding was fairly straightforward. All parents and bride and groom were on the same page regarding most of the details. We chose Loyola Chapel (part of Concordia University in Montreal). The chapel has some character without being over the top, or overly religious and they were very flexible with the details. Then we chose The Wave as our reception venue, and they were such pros! Danielle, one of the owners of the space, was very knowledgeable and flexible. She worked with us to create the menu, and figure out the arrangement of tables/couches, etc. for the dinner and cocktail hour. Danielle was great at helping us visualize the reception day. And it DID surpass all of our expectations!
