Here are some details right from Emma & Cord!

Cord and I fell for each other very suddenly. It was immediately such a different kind of relationship either of us had been in before, we knew something was very right. Early on we had to decide if we wanted to have a long distance relationship, this was a no brainer for us as we both knew that this was it. We were only 2.5 hours apart which made seeing each other every weekend pretty easy, until we realized every weekend was not enough. We finally moved in together and a year and a half later Cord took me to Niagara Falls and proposed. Although I can’t say I was surprised (he’s not great at hiding things), I can say I was thrilled!

My plan for many years was to have a destination wedding, and after a short and very painful stint of attempting to plan a traditional at home wedding, I finally got to plan the wedding I had always dreamed of! And with the help of an angel sent from Heaven, Dawn Fairbanks, we were able to chose the Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica and start planning.

I had wanted Michelle Kauntz to be my wedding photographer ever since my sisters wedding in August 2010 and very luckily we were able to pin her down, and become her last official wedding. Having never planned a wedding before, I was very quickly surprised to find out that somehow I had gained this incredible destination wedding powerhouse team that is Dawn and Michelle. I don’t think Cord and I would have survived wedding planning without them. They were both so knowledgable and quick to respond to my constant and probably very annoying moments of panic. We cannot recommend Dawn enough to anyone planning a Destination Wedding.

Working with Michelle was always easy and fun. She was so helpful with the wedding planning process. She had such great tips that we would have never known otherwise, she had even been to the resort we chose and was able to tell us anything we wanted to know about it to help us better envision our wedding day.

Although we had some hiccups after arriving in Jamaica, and for a couple days after, our Wedding day finally came and it was perfect. Not a thing went wrong. The weather was incredible, the ceremony was short and sweet and our Minister, Errol Grant, was fantastic. Our photos on the beach with the whole group were great and our wedding party pictures were a blast. After doing Bride and Groom shots we moved to our dinner reception at the Plantation. We had our own personal server and our guests had a delicious buffet dinner with a great selection. Our bonfire on the beach was what made our day beyond perfect. It was the best party we have ever been to, and we didn’t want it to end!

Michelle was more than a photographer to us. She was a part of our group, a part of our family. MVP of our wedding trip. The pictures are absolutely incredible, but working with her was even better. The only thing I am upset about is that Michelle is not in our pictures with us because we just adore her so much. We will always be able to relive our wedding day with how perfectly she captured the best day of our lives.
