![]() Escape into adventure. - Whether you're booking an incredible wedding adventure for just the two of you or with an entourage of your family and friends, a destination wedding is truly just more than getting married in the sun - it's an amazing week-long experience that you will remember and cherish forever. A week to enjoy without worries or stress. Destination weddings are meant to take the stress away with the tide. Your experienced wedding planner is preparing all of the details so you can simply be present and enjoy every moment... Unlike your wedding planner however, most resort photographers do not have the experience or artistry to capture the full extent of your week in paradise. To truly capture the soul of your adventure together, most brides & grooms are now including their chosen photographer as a guest for the week and in turn, receiving truly unforgettable images that will enhance your memories for years to come. Thousands of dual resolution images - all yours to keep. Expressive images, photo journalistic candids, fun, beautiful portraits, memorable details and unique, artistic image treatments that reflect the ambience, emotion and importance of your destination wedding experience will all be yours. My destination wedding package includes unlimited photos on the day of the wedding - from the exciting early morning preparations to the celebrations that last into the evening - as well as two separate "portrait/event" sessions of up to four hours each. Want to trash the dress in the ocean or capture an unforgettable excursion with your whole group? Whatever your dream is, you now have the convenience of having a photographer that will fit into your schedule as well as into your travelling entourage and make your memories beautiful, plentiful, simple, romantic, fresh and fun. Remember, there is never a limit to how many photos that are taken, nor to how many you will receive. Unlike the resort's wedding photo packages, my destination wedding package is all-inclusive. Once your images have been individually hand processed, you will be presented with a set of digital image discs that give you dual resolution of virtually every one of your wedding images: a high-resolution set of edited images for you to print as many times as you wish either by ordering prints or gift items through our very affordable, professional Canadian printing house affiliate or by printing them yourself through your own favourite photo printer, as well as a watermarked web-resolution image for you to share online or simply email to family and friends. My goal is to provide you with captivating images, friendly, professional service and the natural ease that comes with knowing that your photographer is happy to be with you - capturing moments as they happen with a fresh perspective and preserving them for you with style and flair. Incredible Package, Incredible Pricing... Currently I am trying to build my destination wedding portfolio as in a few years I am hoping to set sail and move down to the Caribbean to pursue destination wedding photography full time. Because of this, my pricing for my Destination Wedding package is phenomenally low in comparison to other photographers. In fact, I've set my pricing to be almost equal to my local wedding packages with far more value even with the consideration of the accommodation cost and extra time! (Regular value for this package done locally would be $4950. for just the hours of photography you receive alone!) Absolutely Anywhere... I am thrilled to travel to any location for your wedding event, as well as to unlimited locations during your wedding day itself. My destination wedding photography package is available at extremely affordable rates! For more examples of my work, please visit my wedding gallery / portfolio by clicking here To see if your 2010 or 2011destination wedding dates are available, please call me at 5195788222 or email me directly. Captured Soul Photography is currently based in Kitchener Ontario but is currently promoting destination wedding photography services services to all Canadian and US couples. If you would like to "meet" to book a consultation and are outside of southern Ontario, a phone or video online chat consultation can easily be arranged! Destination Wedding Bookings for 2011 are now being accepted - and a few bookings are still available for 2010! Please call or email as soon as possible to reserve your dates! |

Did you know that you can get accommodation credits for most group bookings when booked through a travel agent? Normally you will receive an accommodation (and sometimes flight) credit towards the stay of one person for every 15-25 people you book for your destination wedding! What a great way to dramatically reduce the cost of bringing your photographer with you! Check with your travel agent for more details! Need more details? Check below for answers to frequently asked Destination Wedding Questions: (to see answers to commonly asked wedding photographer questions, please click here) "Why should I bring a photographer with me? Why not just use the resort photographer?" There are two points to respond to here: First, remember that what you are getting in quality from a professional, independent photographer will far outweigh any value of using the resort photographer. Most resort's "pro" photos are unprocessed (ie: come straight from the camera) in jpeg format and have a "cookie-cutter" appearance. They do not have, nor take the time, to access the personality of the bride & groom and allow that to influence the style, and creativity of the photos. I was shocked to see photos that were taken by the resort photographer at a high-end resort for the wedding of a friend of mine had the photographer's shadow in them! Definitely not professional. This same friend also paid a $1400. US premium for the resort's smallest photo package which included only 43 8x10's in an album and a copy of these same 43 photos on a "keepsake" disc. There was a $20. charge for any extra photo that they might have wanted to add to their package. In comparison, my latest destination wedding yielded 2600 hand-processed photos. At his package prices, the couple would have been charged over $50,000 for the same amount of photographs that I provided, and all untouched! Secondly, bringing a photographer with you will allow more confidence, comfort and ease to you and your guests. My goal is to become a part of your wedding entourage so I may get to know you as well as your family and friends and translate that into photographs that are beautiful, natural and suit your personality. You not only will be receiving pro-photos of your wedding day, but of your honeymoon as well - all at one all-inclusive price. Bringing your own chosen photographer with also provides the convenience of knowing that your family and friends can relax and participate in your wedding week instead of always looking through a viewfinder. (though, I'm sure they will do this in most cases anyway!) "Do all resorts allow outside photographers?" Most resorts allow you to bring a guest photographer with you though there may be a "shutter charge" added to your wedding package to forego the services of the resort photographer. This "shutter charge" is usually somewhere in the range of $50. to $150. A couple of all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean have a monopoly on their wedding services and have restrictions built into their wedding contracts denying access to outside photographers. These same resorts tend to charge exorbitant rates on their wedding packages because of this monopoly. It would be wise to check into this with your travel agent or resort representative before booking your resort package. "How far in advance should we plan our Destination wedding?" It is recommended to plan your destination wedding at least 8-12 months in advance so you have time to go over all necessary plans, buy your dress, book your photographer and give your invited guests time to receive advance booking discounts, as well as to confirm that your space at the hotel and on the flight are secure. "Where are the most popular destination wedding areas?" According to my dear friend Dawn from Uniglobe Discover Travel, the most popular destinations in the sun are Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, St. Lucia, Aruba, Costa Rica, Panama, Antigua, and Barbados. Other destinations of course are wonderful as well but the popular sites are usually dependant on cost and how frequent the airlines travel there. Don't forget that Caribbean Cruises are becoming quickly preferred as a destination setting as you simply don't have to choose just one place! "Where can I find information on the legalities of getting married in another country?" It is always recommended to contact the Tourist Board of the country you wish to get married in for the most recent guidelines of what you need to do and the fees that may be involved. Some countries still require blood tests, others need you to be in the country for at least three days prior to your marriage ceremony. Some resorts will take care of the paperwork for you, others will need you to have paperwork prepared prior to your arrival. It's best to be informed before you go! "Where can I find more about resorts, vendors, and other information to help me plan my destination wedding?" Canada finally has a destination wedding/honeymoon directory which you can visit to gain information on all aspects of destination weddings. Visit www.myweddingaway.com. Enjoy!
